Boost Productivity with Microbreaks

It can be tempting to power through a task without stopping. However, research shows breaks can give a much-needed boost.

A microbreak is a very short break. It typically lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, taken during work or study. Examples include standing up, stretching, breathing meditation and walking around.

Taking 5-minute breaks throughout the day can improve focus, reduce stress, and boost creativity. Research shows that even a brief pause allows your brain to recharge, helping you stay sharp and productive for longer. Try stepping away from your desk, stretching, or taking a few deep breaths. It can make quite a difference!
