Happy New Year!

Last year was full of highs and lows. I embarked on my coding journey, dabbled in data analysis, continued to work on my novel, and learned how to assert myself.
This year I have at least five goals I’d like to achieve.
1. Exercise regularly

I felt like a different person when I was working out regularly for a hot streak in 2023! Last year was a bust. I hope to dust off my weights and bicep curl my way to better health in 2025!

2. Improve my diet
Christmas is always fun because it’s an excuse to indulge and splurge on sweet treats. People give you more treats! Next thing you know, you’ve eaten your weight in chocolate and your waistline is laughing at you in the mirror. I’d like to eat a balanced diet, add more veggies and get enough vitamins and minerals.

3. Learn a new skill (or pick up an abandoned one)

Learning a new skill can improve your memory and overall health. Years ago, I bought a harmonica and I spent a month playing around with it. It’s now joined the rest of the junk I’ve acquired but it doesn’t have to be this way. I am challenging myself to learn how to play it by the end of the year. Other skills I would like to improve are: calligraphy, writing and reading. A new skill I’m interested in is embroidery.

4. Professional and personal growth and development
This one is always a given. Whether it’s a new job or further education, 2025 is the year for growth and development in all areas! I want to expand my professional network and learn as many skills as possible! Watch out world!
5. Have more fun!

This is the most important goal. Work hard, and play even harder! On a serious note, I would like to explore more this year. This can be through books, movies and music, or art, exhibitions and travel. I want to look back in a year and cherish the memories of the great times I’ve had! My favourite moment of 2024 was a concert I almost didn’t attend. I’m glad I did, though, because it will stay with me forever.
I hope everyone has a successful and great year ahead. What are your goals for 2025? Let me know in a comment below!
